Ordering Information
All baskets are made from White Oak Saplings selected for their straight
grain and clear growth. There is no easy way to get the splints to make the baskets, as
the tree has to be split into 16ths, then the individual splints have to be pulled from the 16 billets with a knife and
a small mallet. This process has been done in this manner for the existence of White Oak
Basketry.
We take pride in our workmanship and place our efforts in making high quality white oak baskets, using innovative handle styles and creative basket styles, from the very simple plain work to the artistic side of creativity in basketry weaving.
To place an order, mail a check (order may be held until check clears) or money order for the price plus shipping. When ordering a basket, include the description, name, size, and price of the basket. If ordering a corn shuck doll, include your choice of colors. If ordering lye soap, include fragrance preferred. If ordering Granny's crazy shirts, include the size needed. E-mail questions concerning other items pictured or listed.
Upon receiving your order, you will get an E-Mail reply immediately giving you the date of completion of your ordered item, and the date of shipping. The day of the shipment, you will receive shipping information via E-Mail, along with the carrier and the approximate date of your item being forwarded.
We have mailed many baskets all over the United States, and even into Europe. We realize that you take a risk when you order on the internet, but we have been in business for 17 years full time, and we also feel that we also take a risk when we take payment for our product from individuals, but we have never had a bad experience yet. We are not a large corporation, but a small home based business. We have no catalogs, but there are pictures on the web site that show the quality of our work. We guarantee the quality and craftsmanship of our work to be the best. As time allows, we will add more pictures of our work on the web site.
